The Division of Vascular Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, within the Smidt Heart Institute, invites a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its multidisciplinary Vascular Surgery group. The division offers comprehensive evaluation and management for patients with vascular disease, prioritizing patient-centered care, cooperative efforts, and continuity during the surgical patient experience.
The NP will work closely with multiple vascular surgeons and other members of the healthcare team while independently managing appropriate patients within their scope of practice. The position is currently outpatient-focused, with the potential to expand to inpatient vascular surgery care and rounding as the program evolves.
Qualifications
Education
- Master of Nursing Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (ANCC)
Experience
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in vascular surgery, cardiovascular care, another surgical specialty, or a complex patient-care setting preferred. Experience with preoperative evaluation, postoperative management, diagnostic review, and care of patients with complex vascular disease is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License
- NPI
- Current DEA License (schedule 2-5)
- ACLS
