Description
MyMichigan Health, an affiliate of the University of Michigan Health, has an outstanding opportunity for a Radiation Oncology Physician in Alpena, Michigan. Open to both practicing physicians and recent/new grads. Willing to provide mentorship to new grads.
This is a solo position but would be part of a robust radiation oncology team with MyMichigan Health. The department has one linear accelerator: Varian TrueBeam, with full complement of additional technology to be able to provide evidence-based state of the art care. EPIC EMR. Annual new patients are increasing year over year and currently sit at around 300. Treatments range from 15-25 per day with an average day being 20. Primary diagnoses of these patients are breast, prostate and lung. On average 3-5 new consults and 9-12 follow up clinic patients weekly with the opportunity for added capacity. Experienced staff on site with a culture of continued growth and advancement.

Traditional Monday through Friday with some flexibility
- Call
1:5 covering multiple sites
Requirements
- U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent
- Board eligible or board-certified
- Completed a fellowship in radiation oncology
- Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan and a Controlled Substance License
