Mary Washington Healthcare

Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) is the Fredericksburg region's fastest-growing healthcare system and a dynamic, community-focused academic health system. With state-of-the-art hospitals in Fredericksburg and Stafford — each with a proud legacy of caring for generations of families — and more than 80 sites of care, including the Mary Washington Medical Group, MWHC supports a wide range of specialties and services.

Advanced, comprehensive programs in cancer care, women's health, cardiac care, orthopedics and neuroscience give physicians and advanced practice providers the opportunity to deliver specialized care close to home, and MWHC's robust Hospitalist program offers one of the most progressive models for hospital-based practice. Emerging technologies, a strong support staff, a collaborative leadership team and streamlined systems are already in place.

MWHC offers excellent compensation, relocation assistance, generous PTO and paid CME time, along with opportunities to train residents, participate in research and grow through clinician leadership programs. New graduates are welcome, and MWHC has been Great Place to Work Certified for six consecutive years.

The Fredericksburg area pairs a historic downtown and a growing food scene with great housing options and strong schools. Washington, D.C. and Richmond are within easy reach without the commute, congestion or cost of living, and the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains are about an hour away.
