NorthBay Health's Center for Primary Care offers exceptional pediatric care, along with family practice and internal medicine, all delivered by a compassionate staff. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Scheduled: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Outpatient only
  • Balanced call ratio shared among physicians and sites

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with patients to determine appropriate treatment courses
  • Recommend and order diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses
  • Monitor lab results and medication adherence
  • Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations to prevent or treat illnesses
  • Explain procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families
  • Refer patients to medical specialists as necessary
  • Represent the practice in hospital committees, ensuring equitable meeting attendance among physicians
  • Collaborate with and manage APPs to enhance patient care
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
  • Proven experience in a pediatric primary care setting
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

The NorthBay Health Medical Group is a multi-specialty group of more than 100 providers — primary care physicians, specialists and Advanced Health Practitioners — practicing across more than 25 locations. Clinicians are supported by extensive clinical care teams that include RNs, medical assistants, patient service representatives, behavioral health professionals and Advanced Health Practitioners, with onsite phlebotomy and radiology in the Centers for Primary Care, so physicians can focus on practicing medicine. A hospitalist program cares for unassigned inpatients, and NorthBay has a long partnership with David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, where military providers can practice part-time and often join full-time after service.

Physicians practice under a Professional Services Agreement designed for independence and collaboration, with an income guarantee, a work RVU incentive, quality incentives, compensation for APP supervision, and one-time payments such as sign-on bonuses, relocation and tail coverage. Professionals who join NorthBay tend to stay — it enjoys one of the highest retention rates in the industry.
