Sea Mar Community Health Centers

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos. Sea Mar grew out of a volunteer free clinic and opened its first clinic in Seattle's South Park neighborhood in 1978 — the name stands for "Seattle Marysville." Today it is Washington's largest provider of community-based, comprehensive health care and a Federally Qualified Health Center, with more than 90 medical, dental and behavioral health clinics serving 13 Washington counties, from Whatcom and Skagit to Grays Harbor, Thurston, Pierce, King, Snohomish and Clark. Sea Mar proudly serves all persons without regard to race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender or sexual orientation, and regardless of ability to pay.

Sea Mar physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and midwives practice full-scope, team-based primary care — including family medicine with obstetrics, pediatrics, women's health and psychiatric care — alongside integrated dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, maternity support and WIC services. Providers are supported with one medical assistant per provider, robust ancillary staff, Epic EMR and a three-month onboarding and ramp-up period. Sea Mar also trains the next generation of community health clinicians through its residency and fellowship programs.

Benefits for providers include competitive salaries, medical, dental and vision insurance with premiums 100% covered, occurrence-based malpractice insurance including tail coverage, retirement contributions and a 401(k), generous paid time off, an annual CME allowance, sabbatical leave and relocation reimbursement. Every Sea Mar site has a HPSA score of at least 19, opening the door to federal and state loan repayment programs.

From the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker to the Puget Sound, the Pacific coast and the Columbia River Gorge, Sea Mar's communities offer Washington's full range of Pacific Northwest living — vibrant cities, small towns, mountains, beaches and some of the most diverse communities in the state.
