Employer
UNC Health
UNC Health is a not-for-profit integrated health care system owned by the state of North Carolina, with locations across the state. More than 56,000 teammates work together to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities it serves, from the mountains of Caldwell County to the farmland and river towns of eastern North Carolina.
The system is anchored by UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, home of UNC Hospitals, UNC Children's and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of only about 40 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers nationwide. Physicians there work alongside the faculty of the UNC School of Medicine. UNC Health also includes UNC Health Rex in Raleigh, UNC Health Johnston, Wayne UNC Health Care, UNC Health Lenoir, UNC Health Nash, UNC Health Southeastern, UNC Health Caldwell and a statewide network of UNC Health Medical Group practices.
Physicians can choose academic faculty roles with teaching and research, hospital-based practice, or community-based primary and specialty care in growing towns such as Goldsboro, Smithfield, Kinston, Rocky Mount, Lumberton and Lenoir. Roles offer competitive salaries with quality and productivity incentives, full medical, dental and vision benefits, CME support, retirement plans and paid malpractice coverage, with sign-on and relocation incentives for many positions.
North Carolina offers a high quality of life, with an affordable cost of living, the thriving Research Triangle, four distinct seasons, and the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic coast both within reach.
