This is a primarily outpatient position with scheduled operating room participation approximately 2–3 times per month. No inpatient rounding, hospital consultations, or inpatient management responsibilities are required.
- The PA will evaluate and manage postoperative patients following a wide variety procedure, including complex implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction, general reconstruction, and aesthetic surgeries.
- Responsibilities include postoperative assessments, pain management, wound and drain care, patient education, and identification and management of surgical complications, including wound healing problems, infections, and seromas.

The PA will also independently evaluate selected new patient consultations, including patients presenting with skin and soft tissue lesions, acute and chronic wounds, scars, and traumatic soft tissue injuries. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, developing differential diagnoses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and formulating treatment plans.
