MedStar Health - Gastroenterology is seeking qualified Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant to join our regional service line. We have a part-time (FTE 0.6) need at MedStar Gastroenterology Towson/Lutherville. This is an excellent opportunity for Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Providers with clinical and personal skills to join a dynamic Gastroenterology department.
Education
- Master's degree Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Maryland State and/or DC Board Examiners of Nurses. (Physician Assistant may be considered) required
Experience
- 1-2 years 2 year experience as a nurse practitioner. May require additional experience in specialty assigned. required (Physician Assistant may be considered)
Licenses and Certifications
- (Physician Assistant may be considered) NP - Nurse Practitioner - Licensed in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s). May require specialty license based on location. required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills. Must have good problem-solving and independent judgment skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
