Annandale, VA · 7617 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA, US, 22003

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner (Focus on Pediatric Primary Care & Acute Care for Patients of All Ages)

Location: Annandale, VA (Northern Virginia / DC Metro)

Schedule: Full-Time, Flexible Compressed Workweek (10-13 hour shifts); No Call

Founded in 2010, Vista Medical Center is a well-established private practice expanding its Annandale office to meet growing community demand. This opportunity offers complete clinical autonomy within a mission-driven, clinician-led environment dedicated to providing comprehensive, generational care to a diverse patient population.

This represents an exceptional opportunity for an autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner to focus on an established pediatric panel while managing diverse primary care and acute same-day visits in a collaborative setting.

  • Clinical Autonomy & High-Impact Scope: Champion a vibrant outpatient panel primarily anchored in pediatric wellness, chronic disease management, and routine immunizations, complemented by same-day acute care and outpatient procedures for all ages.
  • Support & Collaborative Culture: Practice alongside hands-on founding clinicians who provide structured support, seamless EMR onboarding, and dependable clinical backup in a highly supportive environment.
  • Operational Efficiency & Dedicated Staffing: Maximize clinical focus with robust Medical Assistant support managing rooming, point-of-care diagnostics, portal triaging, and prior authorizations, paired with on-site x-ray and rapid testing.
  • Work-Life Synergy: Enjoy genuine schedule flexibility via compressed 3-day or 4-day workweeks with zero call obligations and a balanced rotation of two Saturdays per month (offset by reduced weekday shifts).
  • Compensation & Practice Growth: Receive a competitive base hourly rate with upside productivity incentives for panel development, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits suite including PTO, health insurance, CME reimbursement, malpractice coverage, retirement benefits, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience required. Demonstrated competence in minor outpatient procedures (e.g., I&Ds, laceration repair) is advantageous.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active Virginia Autonomous Practice license required, or full eligibility to obtain autonomous practice designation prior to start date (satisfying the Virginia Board requirement of 3+ years / 5,400 hours of clinical practice).
  • Language Skills: Professional Spanish fluency is strongly preferred to support the vibrant local patient demographic, though not required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Clinical Excellence & Patient Care: Must love building lasting relationships with patients, demonstrate an outstanding bedside manner, and possess excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
